Quality & Provenance
Quality & Provenance:
Our Maca is grown at 3500 meters above sea level, in the Province of Junín, located in the Central Sierra of Peru. Maca roots are dug out by hand using a small hoe called a cashu, to prevent damage, then dried naturally in the sun.
Dried maca roots can be stored for seven years, but we rush ours to a local processing plant, where they’re meticulously weighed and cleaned, with only the finest roots selected for processing. These roots are washed again and cut into small 8-12mm segments, before being fully dehydrated under humidity control.
The segments are finely milled into a powder of 60 mesh specification, then and tested for microbes, before being packaged and shipped to the UK where we check the quality once more, then give them to you.

Great product
I've tried many maca products over the years and this is truly the only one that boosted my energy & libido levels. Highly recommended!
Macha should be cooked.
Apparently it is best cooked or heated & not eaten raw. Raw maca can easily go mouldy producing carcinogenic chemicals. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.rooted-nutrition.com/amp/raw-maca-friend-or-foe
A daily staple - better than coffee for focus!
Great product! I use it every day - adding it to my shake/smoothie in the mornings. I find it helps me focus in a more sustained and less ‘aggy’ way than coffee. I helps keep my iron levels up which is helpful as I’m a blood donor who doesn’t eat much meat these days. The B12 helps my nervous system and circulatory system. The fibre facilitates healthy and regular digestive transit. I’ve recommended this to friends who now also use it as a daily staple. Well done Naturya - keep up the good work!
Maca
So far, it does appear to give us more energy and are really pleased with it. We do love buying our raw chocolate powder , Coco nibs from Naturya and we are always pleased with the products.
