These brownies are so fudgy and indulgent. Adding Lucuma powder gives them a deliciously and naturally sweet caramel flavour.
Ingredients
- 200g spelt flour (or buckwheat flour for a gluten free alternative)
- 50g Naturya Lucuma powder
- 1 tbsp Naturya Chia Seeds
- 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 60g Naturya Cacao powder
- 250g coconut sugar
- 125ml almond milk
- 130g Naturya Cold Pressed Coconut Oil, melted
Method
- Preheat the oven to 170°C (fan oven)
- Line a 25 x 18 x 4cm baking tin with baking parchment
- Place the Chia Seeds in a bowl with 4 tbsps of water.
- Stir well and leave for 10 minutes until the mixture has thickened up
- Place the spelt flour, Lucuma powder, bicarbonate of soda, Cacao powder and coconut sugar into a large bowl. Stir and mix well, removing any lumps
- Add the chia mixture, almond milk and melted Coconut Oil
- Stir until the mixture is well combined
- Pour the mixture into the lined baking tin
- Place the tin in the heated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes until the brownies are slightly fudge when a skewer is placed in the middle
- Remove the baking tin from the oven. Leave to cool in the tin for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool down
- Once cooled, cut into brownie squares
